Strawberry Fields Forever Lyrics

Send "Strawberry Fields Forever" Ringtone to your Cell

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to
Strawberry fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about
Strawberry fields forever

Living is easy with eyes closed
Misunderstanding all you see
It's getting hard to be someone, but it all works out
It doesn't matter much to me

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to
Strawberry fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about
Strawberry fields forever

No one, I think, is in my tree
I mean, it must be high or low
That is, you can't, you know, tune in, but it's alright
That is, I think it's not too bad

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to
Strawberry fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about
Strawberry fields forever

Always, no, sometimes, think it's me
But, you know, I know when it's a dream
I think, er, no, I mean, er, yes, but it's all wrong
That is, I think I disagree

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to
Strawberry fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about
Strawberry fields forever
Strawberry fields forever
Strawberry fields forever

(Cranberry sauce)

Joe Miller,

You're right that John wrote Strawberry Fields Forever though Paul suggested making it more than an acostic song(i.e., Yesterday) like Lennon originally intended, so all sorts of special effects and a musical score were added. John would later complain that Paul "messed up" Strawberry Fields but that the final track "still works."

You're wrong, however, that John wrote most of the Beatles' songs. Paul actually wrote a little more of the Beatles' songs(especially towards the band's latter years) than Lennon did. John was becoming more preoccupied with Yoko and less productive musically. As we all know though, their songs are credited as "Lennon/McCartney" regardless of who wrote the music and lyrics.

The most extreme example of one person writing the lyrics and the other the music is "In My Life." John had already wrote the lyrics to the song when he showed it to Paul, who remembers that John had "the very nice opening stanzas for a song" but no tune. McCartney then composed the melody on Lennon's Mellotron at his home at Kenwood.

This song is amazing!!! I was reading something about John Lennon last week and apparently he said that Strawberry fields forever and help! where the only songs he wrote that he actually meant. Someone on here said that Mcartney wrote strawberry fields as well. He didnt the lyrics are all lennon and so is most of the music, if the beatles hadnt played instrumenst on it it may as well have been a solo effort. John Lennon is my ultimate idol and this song rules!!!

Perhaps edible_shoelaces will know this, but what does lovely John mean by "Cranberry sauce" at the end? Why do people say it was "I buried Paul" when it was "Cranberry sauce?" i'm not being rude, I'd just like to know.

John Lennon Wrote This Song All Alone.

He Wrote almost all the Beatle's Songs.
Paul Only mostly did the rythem's for thr songs.

John Lennon Is the greatest, not only a great musican.
I love him.

This isn't an actual John Lennon song. He co-wrote it with Paul McCartney, and the song appears on The Magical Mystery Tour.
But John Lennon may have redone the song and added it to Imagine, that I'm not sure.

Strawberry Field (as it actually is-Fields in the song is correct)is/was a children's home close to where John Lennon used to live and that is all the song is about-the gate with the words "Strawberry Field" is actually shown on the video of the song.Hope this helps
