After all this time why haven't the Avril haters figured out they're not going to change anyone's minds with their continuing attacks, and they don't know shit about Avril's personal life, so they have no business slagging her off. I guess some people just are bitter and angry and need to vent somewhere.

Firstly, I think this song is awesome and one of the best on the album! It's really meaningful, and has an incredible sound. The video for this song has supplied me with numerous inspirations for sketches, paintings, and portraits!
I agree that some people would want to look up the lyrics to a song they hate to voice their opinion about it, but I think it's a pretty lame waste of time. They can go right ahead though! While we are all entitled to free speech, it's not going to change the fans' minds just because the haters say so. If some people happen to enjoy an artist and their work, and you don't, why would you have a problem with that? Why would you even CARE? It doesn't have anything to do with you, so don't trample on others' inspiration! The reason(s) someone has for listening to a certain singer none of your business, anyway. It's not necessary to attack someone's perspective on things with rude comments.

I love this song...its soooo sad. Avril is a great singer. The acoustic version rocks for this song, she sounds soooo real which she is! Great singer and songwriter and she seems like a really cool person... if i was famous i'd loooove to dis hilary duff!

Okay, if anyone has ever had parents that didn't love them they could tell this song is fake. It's so disgusting. First off, if they go off on their own they try and be strong at first. If you can't handel that you don't go off, you wait till you can. You think about shit before you leave... And than start a new life when you settle down. Believe what you want.

Out of Avril Lavinge's songs, this is definitely one of my favorites- It has such a original melody. Also, the guitar is really good. I luv how she has her own style of singing and playing, I never get tired of listening to her songs. Avril Lavinge is one of my favorite musicians, you don't hear music like hers on the radio everyday. I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!! =D I could go on forever!

Wow I can't believe that all of you people who said this song is about being homeless didn't try to look deeper into the lyrics. If you tried that you would see that this song is not necessarily about not having a "house". It's about losing your place in life and not having anyone to turn to and not knowing where to go or what to do next. This is something that Avril herself probably experienced, not being homeless, you silly fools. And just for some clarification Avril wrote the lyrics and Ben Moody and Avril wrote the music for the song together.

For some reason, you can feel so much more energy in Avril's song than that doopey Hilary Duff. In Metamorphis she doesn't give an onuce of meaning like she meant it. P.s ddon't mind the spelling mistakes.
