it's a pleasure for us, Filipinos that you gradually like this song made by apl.
actually, the 1st verse of the song tells about how he left the Philippines.
he said "hey man, listen to me.. here comes the real Filipino"
he also included there where he's from. I think there's something wrong with the lyrics. It should be "SAPANG BATO" and not "SA PANGBATO"
SAPANG BATO is a place here in the Philippines where he grew up.
he also tells about how happy he is during his stay here in the Phils.
he said that it's hard to live here in the Phils. because of poverty, but then it's happy, esp. when you eat together with your family using hands as spoon. He left Phils. and went to L.A to earn money.
the 2nd verse tells about how beatiful the Filipinas are.
Apl is a great Filipino! 2 thumbs up for this composition!
the last verse of the song says,
If you are pretty then shout "SIGE"

I'm pinay too, i understand the song completely and i love it. He's talking about how beautiful girls are in the philippines. He clearly appreciates women. All in all i give him props for having pride and not forgetting his background.

I jsut wasted my time on five different translators....oh well. For a few dyas I thought they'd accidentally put the Japanese version on instead of the English one. Explains why I couldn't sing it. Thanks for the news on the lingo it's in, ppls!
