I am a peace-loving person, and I truly believe that we need to give peace a chance.
For the few Lucifers and Judas that disturbed my peace in extremely unbelievable ways, the second stanza of this song is spot on, for you. I hope you will get the message in the second stanza when I finally let you know who you are, (through some appropriate medium).
I love the songâ??s final lines:
"...A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one."

This song is amazing and i love it. john lennon is my favorite beatle ( may he rest in peace. He was a great man who brought the facts to people who wouldn't otherwise know. He's not the only dreamer!

I've always loved this song along with the concept, which is phenominal. Unfortunately, as long as ppl are ego-driven (i.e: power-hungry and money driven) this will never come to pass. This concept requires an agreement on unconditional equality among ALL ppl.
...Ah, but it's nice to dream.

Oh and his death day is the 8th but I'm over in the U.S. so the time difference is a bit off. It's almost 8 PM here so yes it is still the 8th.

Today is John Lennon's 25th death anniversary and I would just like to say he was an amazing man. He cared about world peace more than the music industry...there's nobody quite like him these days.
R.I.P.

Wow, somehow this awesome song is tied to terrorism and how Bush is saving us all ...lets see, fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here? Buy a clue retard.
This song talks about all the things that make people kill others ...possesions, religion and nationalism. And says wouldn't it be great if we didn't have these things that cause such strife.
The message of this song is completely the opposite of what the administration is doing.
Lennon was brilliant and to mention his name in the same sentence as the morons who are currently running this country off a cliff is an amazing disservice to John Lennon and all he stood for.
Play the song again ...and again ...and again.
I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one... peace.

It's too bad that this tune, as great as it is, became a political post for those clueless, ignorant idiots who need a "slap across the face" to "wake up to reality", and will still be clueless when their kids, years from now, may hopefully be able to attend a concert like Lennons (doubtful as it may be), or a movie theater, without having to worry about their legs being blown off by a terrorist's explosive device. Stick your head back in the sand chickee, and leave it there, if not for the likes of Bush and our military, you wouldn't be able to post your stupid, uninformed comments here (you started it).
P.S. Were you not aware that that the U.S. has had control of their oil fields twice, and twice we returned possession back over to them?

The greatest song ever written, period. I don't care what anyone else has to say against that. If everyone would just listen to this song, I mean really listen to it, take in the words, the world would be a better place.
