This is my favorite song on the album. oh, man I've been there before, when you just open your mouth and say something crazy. At the moment it seems like the right thing to say, then later later you think, What The Hell Did I Just Do! Then you realize it would have been better if I would have just kept my mouth shut!

ahh... his voice is soo sexy....
but this song really reminds me of my bff michael, becuase even though were bestfriends, we usually hit some bumbs and most of them are caused by him and his stupid mouth. wow, i just realized that they sound so much alike when they play & sing.....kinda cool....but johns voice is def. more hot....

omg...i love this song and john!!!!! who cares what you all think...he is soooooo cute!!!!! this cd (room for squares) is the greatest!! i take it everywhere i go (on an airplane, to school, to a sleepover, etc.) he is a great singer and a guitar player!!!! I love him!!!!!!

I am in love with this song. My boyfriend and I got into a fight over something he had said, and he played this song for me as an apology! So cute! That was the reason I started listening to John Mayer, and now I love all of his songs! :)

My aunt Judy said one time that she thought Mic Jagger was one of the ugliest guys on the planet. But if he asked her to marry him, she'd do it in a heartbeat, because she thought he had the most gorgeous voice on the entire planet. That's kinda how I feel about John, except for the whole ugliest-guy-on-the-planet deal. Face it, he's not a supermodel, but somehow his voice sends shivers up and down your spine. Talk about a turn on...mmmmm...

Oh yeah and I forgot...
His songs are so easy to relate to. I have lost track of how many times I have said something stupid and then regretted it later. The only difference is that, more than anything, on those occasions I would have loved to blame my stupid mouth, but all the stupidity is just me. It's one of those things I'm trying to fix. It's beginning to make me more enemies than I'm comfortable with.
And it's not just my stupid mouth as a big mouth as well. I don't spread gossip and rumors... I was cured of that in the fifth grade when someone spread a rumor about me and I finally considered how others must feel when I do stuff like that. (I felt like crap afterwards and ended up apoligizing profusely to all the people that I'd ever talked about in my life.) It's more of the fact that I blurt things out without thinking, like in the song.Oops!

John Mayer songs are so.......heartfelt. Like he puts the keys to his soul in his music. And on the whole "good looks" thing, I'm kinda in between. It's okay to think that a person is "hot" or "cute" or "sexy" and like the music. I don't exactly approve when a person just buys his cd and stuff when they don't even like the music thay just like how he looks. So my suggestion is that if you're gonna praise him on his looks, make sure you imply that, truthfully, you like his music, too, and that his looks are just a means to an end.
John Mayer is one of those people where as soon as I put the CD on, I am gone to the world. The feeling you get is just...one of a kind. Like everything is right for once. Just one of the things on a long list that I love about him.

I LOVE JOHN MAYER!!!!!!!! I have absolutley loved this song since the day I heard it.John Mayer is my absolute favorite all around musician.I admire his guitar playing very much.I also admire his singing.He has an awesome voice.(not to mention his awesome looks)Thank you for being so great.I have his 2nd album, Room for Squares, and I've probably listened to it a million times.I hope to one day see him in concert.He is soooooo wonderful.

ohhhhhh my goodness, John is so beautiful!! and i don't just mean in terms of his looks. his words are so inredibly sweet, his songs are just perfect. for all of you, i recommend checking out his dvd that just came out recently, Any Given Thursday... it's an up-close taping of a performance of his, and there's also interviews and stuff~ i fell even more in love with him after seeing that dvd! Also, THE ABSOLUTE BEST john mayer song ever is Comfortable, soooo sweet it makes me wanna cry! it's on his first album, his independent release, called Inside Wants Out. if you haven't heard it, you haven't heard John at his best! John Mayer is one of my three favorites as of right after me picking up his "room for squares" cd. You can just play it without realizing that anything else is going on. This song "Neon" and "Victoria" are by far my three favorites and I recommend every John Mayer fan to listen to them!!!!

I agree with Gina Marie. (by the way my name is Gina Marie and im 15, ironic huh?) We 15 yr old girls get a bad rap for falling for artists who are "good looking" or "hot." Personally I dont care for pop music, (Jimmy Eat World rules!!) and I don't considar John Mayer as pop music, either. I like John for his talent, not his looks. The way he can capture the little things in his songs is amazing. I've listened to room for Squares and Inside Wants Out so many times I lost track. So please don't stereotype all teenage girls who happen to like this kind of music and think we're airheads and have a hoard of britney and justin posters on our walls,(I CERTAINLY don't) and realize that there are some of us who like and respect good music for what it really is.

I LOVE "Room for Squares." I heard '83' on the Serendipity soundtrack, then heard, "Your Body is a Wonderland" on the radio. I had to run out and get the CD right away! I was lucky it was there--the new shipment hadn't come in yet, but the guy was sure he'd seen two or three in the backroom. Whew! I've been listening to the CD over and over. Forget shuffle. Just hit replay! Awesome. My new fave song of his: 'My Stupid Mouth.' I need more John Mayer. His voice is incredibly unique, the sounds are simple, yet memorable. And the sentiment . . . it's for everyone! I am a bona fide John Mayer "fan" and that's a word I detest using next to my name. But I'm completely addicted to his music. Sounds like a "fan" to me! :)

Hey..nice lyrics, but i have one correction. After the verse "so call me captain backfire," there is not supposed to be and "oh, it's another social casualty." The lyrics are supposed to go straight to the second "i'm never speaking up again" part. Hope u get it changed. Thanx
