Stacie Orrico Lyrics
Stacie Orrico Lyrics
More To Life Lyrics
Complimentary "More To Life" Ringtone
I've got it all, but I feel so deprived
I go up, I come down and I'm emptier inside
Tell me what is this thing that I feel like I'm missing
And why can't I let it go
[Chorus]
There's gotta be more to life
Than chasing down every temporary high to satisfy me
Cause the more that I'm
Tripping out thinking there must be more to life
Well it's life, but I'm sure there's gotta be more
PURE G0lD :]

Well, drugs and sex and alcahol will only satisfy you for a little bit. It's singing about a longing. More to life... And seeing as how Stacie Orrico is very strong in her faith. She puts God in that place as More then just a temporary high. Something permanent. Pretty simple concept really.

now that i know this song is christian.. it kinda blows.
i liked it, till i found out she was preaching about some god. wow lame.
before you bitch me out, consider this: i probably won't come back to read your christian obsessed coments.
also, how much religion controls everyones lives, laws are passed because of your stupid religion even after "seperation of church and state" religion is far too influential, especially since no one believes the same things.
atheism. good solution, damn bible thumpers..

i jus found out that stacie orico was a christian singer. i finally listened to this cd and it was beautiful. i love her entire message. the first time i heard this song i didnt get the religious message until i heard it a 2nd time. i think the music industry needs more artists like stacie and its a shame that she hasnt really been recognized for her more christian based songs.

Yea people, this IS a christian song and whether you believe in God or not, she does and therefore she will sometimes make songs about Him. Think OUTSIDE the box. No offense meant.

stacie orrico was interview and she said that this song was taken from the Bible and that you go through life searching for something or anything to satisfy that empty void you feel, but you never will unless you come fully to the understanding of God and trust him with your life and believe that He loves you. if you want to feel satisfied with your and feel complete the only way is with God, and those things you try to replace Him with (boyfriends, girlfriends, friends, etc) they could never fill God's shoes, and you have them in your life because God knows you need them. anyways...everyone needs to replace those "temporary highs" with God because He is an eternal high.

jee u guys. This song is just about "being more to life"than what's already there, chasing every TEMPORARY high, cause u're missing something, u just can't find what it is, and it ain't GOD!
It's so simple...she couldn't say it in a simpeler way...That's why everyone likes it, it's something everyone experiences in their lives, every day, every minute...You'll always miss something. To be honest I never missed God. I don't think God is a temporary high, i don't think God changes...
