Send "Come Together" Ringtone to your Cell
Here come old flat top
He come groovin' up slowly
He got jew jew eyeballs
He want holy rollers
He got hair down to his knees
Got to be a joker
He just do what he please
He wear no shoeshine
He got toe jam football
He got monkey finger
He shoot Coca Cola
He say I know you, you know me
One thing I can tell you is
You got to be free
Come together, right now
Over me
He bag production
He got walrus gumboot
He got Ono sideboard
He one spinal cracker
He got feet down below his knees
Hold you in his armchair
You can feel his disease
Come together, right now
Over me
He roller coaster
He got early warning
He got muddy water
He one Mojo filter
He say one and one and one is three
Got to be good looking
'cause he's so hard to see
Come together right now
Over me
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah

If you want THE remake of this song - and not to appall Beatles fans - but in my opinion, check out the movie Across the Universe. Joe Cocker and the people backing him (Secret Machines?) do the best version of this song. It's grinding and heavy and very, very bluesy.
"I know you
You know me
All that I can tell you is you've got to be free
Come together
Right now"

On second thought, give me the original, but if you must make me chose a remake, I'd go with Aerosmith. Just don't watch the movie it's in, the attrocious Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Seeing Michael Jackson perform this song is annoying and creepy,e specially when he gives the line about "Hold you in his armchair you can feel his disease" Give me the Aerosmith cover any day over that freak show.

Hey it's not "Jew Jew Eyeballs" The Beatles would never even think of publishing an sort of lyrics with racist connotations. "Come Together" is all about all races of people joining together in a world of peace and harmoney!
The lyric should read "Jube Jube eyeballs". I don't even know if you can gettem any more but Jube Jube's were chewey candies (2 for a penny in the early seventies) that came in all sorts of colors.
I think that colorful eyeballs are a Beatles symbolism for being high.

Okay...I feel way dumb, as I grew up in the 80's, and I am forever an Aerosmith fan. (love it) I just recently got into some Beatles tunes and did NOT realize that this was one of theirs. Anyhow, it's a great song and has been covered by many great performers over the years. I must say, after hearing all versions, that Aerosmith did a kick-ass job! Guess I didn't know that the Beatles rocked like this!

I think Lennon DID dig Aerosmith's cover, since they recorded it for the Sgt. Pepper movie, which was out 2 years before Lennon's death.

Pgostickboing-
The lyric is infact, "he got monkey finger".
The line is one one of many narcotics referrences
in this song. Another obvious one is, "hold you in his armchair, you can feel his disease". This is a referrence to shooting heroine. I am a true Beatles fan and do not usually endorse remakes of their music. However, any fan of this song should really check out the Aerosmith version. I think Lennon would have dug it himself.
