The video is readily available for download. If you watch it and know the nature of the song, and listen to the lyrics its quite apparent what "All I Want" really is. Bear in mind that this is an 80s song when "themes" were more repressed. 9.75 out of 10 for this song. Look Deeper than the lyrics! Pegasus

"all i want" is about love in denial and/or wishful thinking. the narrator would have himself believe that the object of his affection was merely playing him and that sooner or later she will give in, but another part of him has also resigned to the fact that they will never be although he himself refuses to define that reason or the existence of that reason; he just believes that there will always be a distance but also an undeniable connection. Wonderful song. :)

Why did they name the band toad the wet sprocket? OH well i do like the song, it is very simple, and i agree it does tend to make one feel better. It is the change from a minor key to a major key i think...
