Just returned from Nashville and from a tour of the George Dickel Distillery in Tullahoma, where I learned that Darryl Worley is a sponsor of George Dickel. This brought back memories of his song "I Miss My Friend" and of my dear wife Rita, whom I lost suddenly last July 23 to non-smoker's lung cancer. We would have been married 36 years this past October, loved Darryl Worley and country music in general, and loved Nashville. Oh, how I miss my friend! This song reminds me of my best friend and ex boyfriend. We were the perfect couple and had to overcome a lot of obstacles to make our relationship strong. I think of him everyday and how foolish I was to let him go. I will always love him and I am still very much in love with him. I miss his smile,I miss our talks, and I miss having him next to me. I love you Baby!

my husband and i are recently separated and i miss him so much. I feel as though this song was written just for me. This is the best song, it is so heartfelt and says exactly what I want to tell him but am afraid to. I hope that we can work things out and be the family we always said we'd be. I LOVE YOU GORD!

the lyrics are jacked up...im listenin to the song right now and they are kissing two or three lines...i posted a correction but it didn't come up and i listen to every Darryl Worley song at least4 times a day and memorized all most all of them so i hope these get corrected.

I love this song. It explains the feeling of losing a true love. So far, I haven't lost my first love and things are great. I just know that having to "miss my friend, his gentle voice, and the one my heart and soul confided in" will be soooo hard. Alex, you mean everything to me. I love you forever and for always. the lyrcis you wrote on here is wrong. like when it says i miss those times it should also have i miss those nights.plus you missed a hole chours at the end of the song.so next time you write down lyrics on here get them right so people don't have to go and listen to the song to get the rest of the words.

I want to dedicate this to my best friend, and the one I love. He is the most wonderful person in the world, but right now he is in the hospital and its time like this that I MISS MY FRIEND. This songs says alot about what he has done for me. He recently told me he loved as more then a friend and he sent my heart soaring. I hadn't had a chance to tell him that yet, and I wish I had. He doesnt realize how good a person or friend he is. I know what he is going thru is hard at this time, and I pray for him everyday. This song reminds me of my ex boyfriend everytime I hear it! The first time I heard it was the day he was coming home from being stationed overseas. But I didn't go see him get home becuase we had been broken up for a few months and I was dating someone new. We tryed to remain friends and try to this day, but it never works out right. I just want him to know that he will alays be a part of me and hes still my best friend, and the only one who really knows me for me! Merry Christmas Keith!

This song reminds me of my ex-girlfriend. We was together for 6 short months. Until the day i met her I had one true love in my life. She changed this. I know now she is the true love of my life After we broke up i had to go away for 6 months. When i came back she told me she still loves me but, doesn't know if we can be back together. There are many factors involved. Everytime i hear this song i think of her and the good times we had. I pray everyday that i will be reunited with my best friend.
