Oh, boy. How can people be so dumb? At the end of the First Gulf War, the terms of surrender stated that the US had the right (and moral obligation) to inspect the military facilities of the Iraqi government. However the Clinton administration simply didn't carry through with them. Clinton ordered the troops and inspectors out of Iraq. If he had done his job he would have kept Iraq in line with the agreement they had made and also reassure the public of Iraq's nuclear/biological weapon program. Should we be in Iraq now? No, because we should have been there over 10 years ago, but better late than never. And regarding the casualties, I have no idea how people can complain. Do you know how many people died as a result of WWII? 63 million, 3% of the world's population. And 90% of the civilian casualties were Allies. We entered that war after being attacked on our own soil and similarly we invaded Middle East countries directly and indirectly responsible for 9/11. America believes that war is bad. We're not the problem. It's the other countries that think it is good and honorable that make it hard for us. It's bad, but necessary. People die, but many many more lives are saved and improved because of sacrifice. And we have not in any mad life worse in other countries. When you attack a force in a civilian locale, civilians will feel a short term negative effect because the terrorist forces will be fighting to convince gullible morons that the war is not worth fighting by killing innocent people. It's been tough and will be tough, but a few years of bloodshed is worth a bright long future of peace and prosperity for everyone.

1. Laws against rape in the 1800s? Yes, I can see the connection between that and getting involved in the Iraq war. Good argument dumbass. France's military record has nothing to do with it either.
2. While there were thousands of American lives lost on 9/11, their have been thousands more lost in the fighting in Iraq, and Iraq wasn't connected with 9/11. Also if you count the number of innocent Iraqis that we've killed, it looks like what we've done is a lot worse. Furthermore, there are more terrorists now per capita than before the war started. So, not only have we made conditions worse for the entire world, but we killed tens of thousands of innocent people in the process.
3. I will probably be moving to Canada after I finish college.
4. I, too, have experienced loss of loved ones, and I assure you it wasn't resolved by attacking a country that had nothing to do with it.

First off I'd like to say that this is a great song, musically. Secondly, this is for bruce willis08 and all who think the same as him. If France isn't that bad why have they lost almost every single war since 1066? And why were the laws against rape extremely lenient back in the 1800's while the laws here were more strict? And another thing, shameful cause? Is fighting over 3,000 innocent lives that were taken cruelly and heartlessly shameful? Do you think that fighting to insure that families and friends might never have to experience that loss ever again, is shameful? Go fuck yourself you prick. If you don't like it here, and you think that Canada is so much better, why don't you move there? Not every government is perfect, and every government has flaws, but that doesn't mean that gives you the right to trash it like you're being oppressed. I hope you experience loss and grief so great some day that will make you realize what the loved ones of 9/11 went through, asshole. Go choke and die.

Canada is so much better than America (very biased statement- not entirely true.) Canada doesn't get into wars like America, as a country it respects the environment, and the people there don't have anything to prove, unlike Americans. We (Americans) are always using dumb arguments like "Canada is living in our shadow." This is retarded, because I highly doubt that most Canadians would want their country to be in America's position. The entire world hates us! Canadians are probably pissed off at the fact that they have to put up with our bullshit and be associated with us by other countries.
There's nothing wrong with France either! How can we blame them for not getting involved in his mindless war? If France doesn't want to lose its citizens to a shameful cause, that's perfectly understandable!

My bro' turned me on to this song. Man it DOES ROCK!! Anyhow, all Americans aren't "simple-minded" - I guess you Canadians are just tired of living in our shadow? What is a Canadian anyway? A Quebecois is definitely someone from a different culture, but I don't think Canadians are much different than Americans. Besides why you gotta' be hatin'? And Mao died in '76. It was Deng Xiaoping who was really behind the troops entering Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Why were the students there? There were as many reasons as there were students, but most are just tired of an oppresive regime. They didn't die for nothing. I lived in China for a while, and while they don't enjoy ALL of the freedoms we may have, life (in Beijing and the bigger cities) is really no different than life here in the U.S. or any other developed nation. People have jobs, families, go out and have dinner, shop in the malls, the street markets, have girlfriends, go to movies, go to clubs....China is definitely changing, and now there's nothing the government can do to stop it. They can only attempt to guide the course of the inevitable.

tianamen square is a place in bejing china were a rally was held, there for, the song is about one rally, where many students were killed by students- was fashion the reason why they were really at that spot? they disguise it, hypnotize it, and the tv made us believe that reason...
