I have both versions, ha!!!! I downloaded the unreleased version first, and when I went to look for the lyrics, the song and the lyric didn't match. At first I thought this song was being covered by another group, but that would be copyright infringement. I finally was able to download the current version a week later. This is the first website where I could find the lyrics for the unreleased version. the current version is longer, it has a musical interlude in the middle of the song, and it sounds "crispier."

This is an alternate version of Coldplay's song "Talk" that was originally intended to be released on X&Y, apparently this version was leaked onto peer to peer sharing before it was completed which explains the two versions.

I don't know why, but ever since Christmas 05, every time I hear this song I feel like crying. It's probably because ever since October 05 my older brother has been distancing himself from the family, all because my other brother's wife got into a fight with his girlfirend, and then the whole big thing over the baby, and well...he didn't even ring on my brithday, took him two whole days to remember.

"Theo" take a look at some other lyrics, listen to the songs.. the musical side as well as the lyrical if your attention span can take it, you never know, musical appreciation might lead you to detect more than an audible tone in the songs, perhaps an emotional one too. A subtler image.
Dont you find that love or passion or problematic situations are often likened to drugs because of the destructive nature of the substances? Or that metaphors are used in order to get across a point..? Exaggeration even. Perhaps consider characterisation.
Superficially all songs can be linked to drugs. Broaden you mind, look a bit deeper, then come back and admit that you are wrong. Because you are.
