Okay... Explanation of parody-ing this song: It's POPULAR!!!! If the song is one of the business' best it would have a parody!!!! So don't get the hell angry at Weird Al OKKKKK!!!! If you love Nirvana and you think this song ruins the "Smells Like Teenage Spirit" well then I'd be glad to tell you that Weird Al actually asked for their consent to have a parody of this freaking song...

WEIRD AL IS AMAZING!!!! His lyrics fit the songs he spoofs so perfectly. I love "smells like teen spirit" but i also luv this song. Really, if you know what they're saying, which i do thanks to Leo's Lyrics, its abit easier to hear wat Nirvana is saying. I think they're both cool. Oh yea, and telling someone to die or saying they should be shot is really mean and makes me sad :(

I agree with you completely. The fact is that in an interview, the band said "We laughed our asses off!" when they saw the video. It only makes me respect Nirvana more, knowing that they have a sense of humor. Too many of us (myself included) take ourselves far too seriously. I, too, regret Kurt's loss, but I don't think this song in any way takes away from that. Anyway, Al is usually pretty thorough about getting permission before proceeding (Amish Paradise notwithstanding).
