GDA said that Jimmy is either Jesus's alter ego or someone he befriended on the streets when he left. It bothers me when I see people type about how they don't know the characters of the story. I understand if you are a new fan but if you have liked AI for awhile now and haven't realized that it's a story in song form, than WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

hybrid_theory-- your 'theory' on this song isn't correct. St. Jimmy(which is spelled wrong in the title for whatever reason,) isn't BillIE Joe's step-father, it's an alter-ego of Jesus of Suburbia. I don't really think St. Jimmy has any connection to BillIE Joe's family or friends in real life. But chyea, it's a great song.

Just to clarify this problem I've been seeing posted to a lot of songs from this album... Jesus of Suburbia doesn't become St. Jimmy, he meets St. Jimmy on his quest to find his place in the world. St. Jimmy represents the reality of the world that Jesus has never been exposed to in suburbia..
