Red Rubber Ball Lyrics

Send "Red Rubber Ball" Ringtone to your Cell

I should have known you'd bid me farewell.
There's a lesson to be learned from this
and I learned it very well

Now I know you're not
the only starfish in the sea.
If I never hear your name again
it's all the same to me.

And I think it's gonna be all right.
Yeah, the worst is over,
Now the morning sun is shining like a Red Rubber Ball.

You never cared for secrets I'd confide.
For you I'm just an ornament,
Something for your pride.

Always running, never caring,
That's the life you live.
Stolen minutes of your time
were all you had to give.

And I think it's gonna be all right.
Yeah, the worst is over,
Now the morning sun is shining like a Red Rubber Ball.

The story's in the past with nothing to recall.
I've got my life to live and I
don't need you at all.
The roller coaster ride we took is
nearly at an end.
I bought my ticket with my tears,
that's all I'm gonna spend.

And I think it's gonna be all right.
Yeah, the worst is over,
Now the morning sun is shining like a Red Rubber Ball.

Hi all, I'd Just like to add that this song was co-written by Paul Simon with Australian singer/songwriter Bruce Woodley, a member of the Aussie folk/pop group 'The Seekers', who had global top 10 hits in the 1960's with songs like 'I'll never find another you' & 'Georgie Girl'. Their version of this song was a hit in Australasia & the U.K. Hope this helps! Cheers!

Simon wrote it. Cyrkle recorded it. Simon and Garfunkel did it in concert and the live recording appeared on the old friends collection.

He was part of Tom & Jerry. He wrote the song but decided not to record it at first so The Cyrkle did.

Paul Simon owns the rights. Wasn't he part of Cyrkle? Or am I thinking of Tom & Jerry?

Who owns the rights for this song? Paul Simon who wrote it or the cyrkle?
