Aww this song makes me think of an old couple who have been in love all their life, and have done everything together, and now one of them is dying and the other one can't live without them. So when one of them dies, they both do, because they had each other their whole lives and once they are separated there is no more to living, they've done it all.

This is a very beautiful and touching song. I hadn't heard it for awhile until the other day I decided to look it up, and its even better then i remembered! I've changed a lot in the past few years and had to deal with a lot of deaths so now this song is more then just another good song. It has meaning and emotion.

I don't think it should matter whether a band is mainstream or not. If their music is creative and enjoyable (sometimes enjoyable is enough) then they're good. if its unoriginal and boring, then they suck. Thats it. this song is both inspiring and original, thus, death cab is good, nay, great.

I don't think the album is "mainstream," per se... It's just that different kinds of people can enjoy it, but it's still different from a lot of popular music out there. They're just starting to get wider recognition, that's all.

This is a gorgeous song, I love 'Plans'. Who are we to decide what is mainstream and what isn't? If a guy in an office gets promoted, is he selling out? No, he's just seeking out better oppurtunities and getting paid more for it. The same goes for musicians. I hate this 'sell out' phrase. Anyway, must go off and polish the cat...

yea i as kinda dissapointed that they went to atlantic from barsuk but at least they didnt sell out even thgouht the album sounds quite mainstream. i was afraid they might even turn emo. but this song is amazing.
