I think its a very cool song I really liked it in Pretty In Pink were I heard it first but loved it enough to get it and listen to it often so its a keeper lol byeeeeee all : > )

It is a rare moment when artist and song come together to create a GREAT musical moment. Redding does just that on this wonderful old tune. The feeling that pours out of him and the simple arrangement of the instruments are a the true definition of soul. Thank God for these recordings that we can still listen to after the GREAT ones are gone. Much love to Otis Redding!

It's true. I listen to the song all the time on a endless loop because you can feel everything in every word in every line. Otis Redding, you were a god among men.

I can't believe there aren't more posts for this song. It's beyond classic. The soulful execution of every line with proper poise and dramatic build and timing was his trademark. You don't get the feeling that he is putting on a show but pulling the lines from his heart. Modern music really lacks when weighed against songs like this. What happend to trully good music? I mean pimps, hos, and phat ass rides are fine for 13 year old brats with no sense of the depth of life experience and an appriciation for things or people of real value, but what about class?

Actually, Greenbean, these are the correct lyrics if you are listening to the Monterey Pop Intn'l album from 1999, but in general they are not the common lyrics.
