This is in my humble opinion, one of the most beautiful songs not just from John Mayer, but from any musician. And the beauty lies in the fact that this song is so simple in words, yet those words pack a lot of meaning into them. John Mayer is a musical genuis and someday ill have my children listeing to John Mayer too and hopefully they will love him too.

I love this song. I'm currently going through a breakup of sorts and john mayer is making me feel so much better. He's so cute and his whispy voice is so sexy. I think everyone has a moment or "chapter" of their life that can relate to this song. It brings tears to my eyes because its so real. So "comfortable"

This song is great!!! I discovered it not to long ago and fell in love. Actually I'm in love with every song by John. I love him. Anyways, on Any Given Thursday, he talks about how if you just heard the music, you would think that the lyrics were(and I quote) "You are my ocean,You are my stars", but there not. There like a conversation.That just goes to show you how great he really is. He's a mucical genius. If you like John Mayer, you'll LOVE him in concert. I still can't believe i went.

I just discovered this son a few days ago and i'm totally hooked! I just broke up with my boyfriend last night (he used to call John Mayer: John Gayer, THINK HE WAS JEALOUS!) and it's weird coz i kinda feel like i can relate to the song...... John Mayer is a great artist!

First of all.. This song is beautiful as is everything John Mayer has every done. But this is probably my favorite song from him, which is saying a lot, because I'm completely in love with his voice, and talent. This song reminds me, of my first love, it was comfortable. And I am still trying to break in my new bf. But John Mayer is wonderful in every way, shape, and form. And this song tops everything he has done =)

Wow what a fucking song. I can't believe I've got tears welling up. There are certain times in life that no matter how hard you try you can't express your feelings through words. Not just this song, but other J.Mayer songs have hit the nail on the head for how I'm feeling through a break up.

cute song :) very sweet, but if he is still so in love with this other woman, ((or at least the memories of her)) he shouldn't be "sleeping with this new girl now"...but i do love this song. it shows that it's ok to remmeber past loves but be sure you dont consume yourself with that... and moving on is only good when you really can and put your memories of the past IN THE PAST. but a cute song

this song is breathtaking. It hits quite close to home for me as well. comfort is something i almost never find in a relationship (rape victim, etc.). My ex and I were so comfortable and because of the distance of college, we couldn't make it work and no matter who i date, no one puts me at ease like him.

This is a tough song. I love the song, but it hit too close to home. I discovered John Mayers songs 5 months before the ending of my marraige. All I knew was "No such thing" from the radio, which I liked, but didn't buy the albums until after seperating. Thats when I heard "Comfortable" for the first time. Damn! Too close to home. Change one little thing (Wife never crashed a shopping cart into a Magazine Rack) and the song could have been written JUST for me. Its been a year, and I can hear "Comfortable" now and feel that incredible pain that I had waaaaay back then like it was yesterday. Love the song, but still pretty tough to hear it even now, I guess that makes it special because it does have that affect on me. How many songs are there that can do that? Love your work, John Mayer.

I listen to this song, these lyrics on this night and realize just how special the really special people in life are. You don't realize how comfortable you are with the one you love, the one you would do anything for, until they've walked out the door for the last time. This song makes me think of watching movies on a rainy day, huddled under a blanket with your person. The new girl your still getting used to isn't ever the girl you knew before, the one that could get inside your head with a look, level you with her eyes, and make your day with a kind word....don't let life pass you by people. Find the one who is perfect in gray sweatpants, with no makeup, and who makes doing absoutely nothing all day fun....just my thoughts 6:22 am.

The first time I listened to this I didn't think much of it but after I listened to the words I couldn't stop listening to it. It made me miss Tonya so much... grey sweatpants, no makeup, perfect... She is perfect and I hope that someday I will be with her again.
