Thank you "superkork"... I mean, I don't agree with you completely, but I totally appreciate your professional, educated, and mature "criticism" of this song, and others of john's. I really do love his lyrics, especially those in "Love song for no one" I agree with you, sometimes he tries to hard, but other times he hits the nail on the head and really drives home a point and brings out pure emotion. Though I do not enjoy reading lyrics about somebody having sex. At all. Lose the lust, Where's the respect?

I had never seen John Mayer, not even a picture, but had listened to music by this fantastic man for years. For everytime I heard this or Victoria, I fell more in love with his music. Incredible voice, and good gitar, and this is just a "good-feeling-tune" in my ears. The text is indeed about something special between to people, but is´s said in a way that makes it sweet, like the way you think about sex, before you meet to many bastards. The song reminds me of my boyfriend, and his view of the female body. He thinks theres nothing more beutiful than an female body, with soft skin, beutiful shapes and so on. And I think of sex as something funny, and nice when I hear this song. Cute, good and sweet.
But John Mayer is a fantastic artist, and his music is good! I have seen one or two photos of him, and uaffetcted from that, I still loves the music....

Who the hell does John Mayer think he is telling his girlfriend her body is a wonderland? I mean, isnt that a nice way of telling her she's fat? If it is, why make a song about her fatness? Thats not nice. Anyway, how big is a wonderland? What spatial dimensions qualify something as a land? Is a "land" like 8 by 10 or something? Anyway, the song totally pokes fun at her with her "candy lips" and a "bubble-gum tongue". He tells her to break all her "big plans" and that they'll swim in a "big sea" of blankets. What a jerk. If he just wanted her to lose a couple of extra pounds, he could've just told her. He didnt need to write a song.
