The correct fucking translation for the title is Hunger, because its on the book in my Rammstein album.

The literal translation doesn't really make sense anyway. Look, anybody here can plug the lyrics into some web translator, or use a German dictionary. The translation here tries to communicate both the meaning and the poetry. I mean, you can't beat that verstekt/insekt sound in a German accent, but at least this tries. So there's not much difference between hunger/yearning/longing, but I think the translation here makes it sound a little better. So I don't know why I'm sticking up for the translation, but I am.

Some of that translation is wrong. First of all, it doesn't say "tender long legs", it says long legs or bones. Then it says to the lion's den "where once I was at home". Then it is literally "Doch es ist kein Schnee mehr da" "Yet it is no snow more there" or more idiomatically "Yet there is no more snow there" On the next verse, it says "without happiness" or, "luck" over the clouds. The great bird slides its head gently back into its hideout, not a secret crevice. On the last verse, it is "Hunger hides itself" not "connects". "Asleep you do not sense that it bites you." Then it is not "Nowhere can it be good" it is "Happy may I be nowhere" or "I may be happy nowhere". Then the last line is literally "Hunger is so cruel". Why say "Has no mercy" when it literally says "Hunger is so cruel"? Anyway, that is my comments on the translation.
