the song covered in rain that john mayer sings is actually a cover of jimmi hendrix's covered in rain, thought you should all know. message in a bottle is also a cover,of the police.

I read somewhere that this song is about two people losing the one's they love in the September 11th tragedy. Now they're making the best of a bad situation by clinging to eachother and holding eachother up. I know that's not a healty way to be in a relationship... but everytime I hear this song I wish I had a piece of this relationship in traggic times.
