bjden, I know what you mean. I only just checked the lyrics now (I always forget unless I'm listening to the music at the time) and I always heard (and sung) the line "I dig a french bikini on Hawaii island / Dolls by a palm tree in the sand" as "I dig a french bikini on a wild palindrome by a palm tree in the sand." ::facepalm:: A great lot of sense THAT made!

For everyone who doesn't know, a palindrome is a word, phrase, number etc that reads the same in either direction

Yay this makes me proud to be a bronzed California girl. And no, not a transplant from another state who has lived here for 2 months. Hehe i'm just kidding, but being a CA girl is awesome, we're more laid back, and have a certain sunny thing to us.

I love this song. The Beach Boys are my favorite oldies band. I love um! Me and my family used to go to all of their concerts...then they all died. Well except Mike Love and Brian Wlison. I loved um tho! Good memories here.

bogberto, I'm sure Californian girls would be happy to take it any which way it came (in the sixties anyway.) Thanks to whoever contributed these lyrics. I could never quite understand the phrase "Hawiian Island Dolls" (wild island gulf??)from listening to the song, but now I can sing along all the way through.
